Not burnouts. I know that you don't do this often, but maybe once a year? What I am talking about is just weaving left and right for no reason on a side street. Just tossing it around for no real reason. Have you ever done such a thing?

When I had my car, I did it sometimes. I did it after I replaced my ball joints to test them. Another time, I was behind a slow driver and was treating him as if he was a pace car. I thought it was fun. How often do you do crap like that?

Never. I only weave on a side street slowly after a snowfall, to check traction.

If you're weaving to warm your tires, you're doing it wrong. Race drivers weave to clean the dirt and marbles from their tires before going green. If they want to heat them they do alternating hard acceleration and braking.

I have done this at a slow pace to check any suspension work I have done, but only for this reason on roads where I am clearly alone.

I do. Once I got pulled over for it too because I didn't realize there was a cop a few cars back. That was fun to explain what I was doing....

I give a quick "emergency" yank to the wheel every time my son falls asleep in the back seat.

Does that count?

Snowflake rated all terrain tires don't care for this kind of thing at all.

Only in the LeMons car. Mostly to clean the tires under caution...and to look cool.

Does doing it on the bike count? I do it all the time just because I'm bored in traffic, plus other cars are trying to figure-out WTF I'm doing so they at least notice me...

On the street I do it after I drive thru a constuction zone or after driving on a gravel road.

I do this all the time behind slow cars! The pace car treatment, I think it's hilarious. This makes me happy that other people (person) does it too

Sure, I've played pace car before. I use it on occasion to scrub speed too (like approaching a slower car on the freeway) just to avoid the middle pedal if possible.

Still weaving left and right creates friction on the tires, will also create heat. Maybe not as significant as heating them by accelerating or braking.
